Sprockets Industry Panel Discussion & Networking Cocktail
In addition to screening schedule access, we would like to invite delegates to our Sprockets - TIFF.Industry panel discussion, regarding the production of challenging content in children's films. The panel will focus on common issues and practices surrounding producing and showing challenging content for children and youth in feature films and television. Entitled, “Kids Should See This: Tackling Challenging content in Children's Media,” we will look at different approaches to handling such content domestically (English Canada vs. French Canada) and internationally. The panel will consist of four experts in the industry as well as a moderator. The panelists will be announced shortly.
With this panel, we hope to provide a concentrated hub for people involved in the local industries dealing in production, distribution and exhibition of content for children and youth to interact and share ideas on what constitutes 'appropriate' content for young audiences. The panel discussion will take place on Monday April 19, 2010 from 3 pm to 5 pm and will be followed by our networking cocktail running from 5 pm to 8 pm.
